Emotion, Curiosity, Culture and Tradition.
These are the ingredients that encapsulate the philosophy that has characterised the Mengotti Group for over one hundred and thirty years, a company that, while proudly retaining its ‘family’ character, has grown and developed to become one of the best known and most appreciated companies in the fashion retail world in the Veneto region, and beyond.
A family affair since 1889.
It all began over one hundred and thirty years ago, when the founder Giovanni Mengotti opened his first business, a small shop in Bassano where he made and sold hats, umbrellas and other accessories for men.
The business took off and in the early 1900s the premises were enlarged, expanding the turnover.
Right from the start, Mengotti's aim was to provide customers with beautiful products, made from high quality materials, combining fashion, functionality and, above all, the emotion that cannot be missing from a piece of clothing or a wearable accessory.
Care for quality and attention to the customer have always been the dominant notes of this business in step with the times.

The business continues to grow thanks to the invaluable support of his son Giuseppe and grandson Adriano who, even back then, used to make home deliveries on his bicycle, anticipating today's shopping trends.
Crucial to the expansion of the Mengotti Group is the decision of Adriano Mengotti, currently head of the company, to follow in his family's footsteps and after his studies open a shop just a short walk from the headquarters, which has carried his name since 1963 and dedicated to men's clothing.
Since then, the business has grown exponentially, also with the support of his wife Renata, who in the 1980s opened L'Elefantino, still a Bassano icon of children's fashion, and his son Filippo.
In 2008 Mengotti landed in Bucharest with a luxury store, becoming a reference point for an expanding local market.
Passion and connection with their Land.
The headquarters are in a historic building in Bassano del Grappa, right above the shop where it all began.
Mengotti is also present with several stores of footwear, clothing, small leather goods and accessories also in Castelfranco Veneto, Thiene, Breganze and Valdagno.
Adriano and his son Filippo are at the helm, the fourth generation of a family that has always seen fashion as an opportunity to express oneself through garments that represent the emotion of a tradition that has supported the best of Made in Italy for 130 years.
A selection of fine garments and exclusive fabrics from the best brands to whet the curiosity and guarantee refinement, style and timeless quality.

Fashion meets Art and Culture.
Mengotti has always rhymed with culture, an inseparable combination for the family who have always dedicated their efforts to enhancing Bassano del Grappa, their hometown.
Art has always been considered the highest expression of elegance and refinement, a constant inspiration for the world of fashion in a continuous search for beauty.
The family has made numerous contributions to the restoration of artistic heritage, such as the conservation of Antonio Canova's 'Tersicore' or the restoration of the metopes of the frieze of the Chiesetta dell'Angelo in Bassano.
Adriano Mengotti's commitment and passion in support of beauty has resulted in the awarding of the "San Bassiano 2020" Citizen's Prize by the city of Bassano del Grappa, a showcase of great charm and synonymous with a life devoted to the continuous pursuit of beauty.
